AIAA sections are where the action happens. Each section offers technical programs and activities
tailored to local aerospace professionals, students and educators.
On 18 April the AIAA Pacific Northwest Section held its 18th Annual Technology Symposium, examining Resilience in Aerospace: Rethinking Innovation in Today’s Changing World

The event at the Seattle Museum of Flight showcased the passion that continues to drive aerospace forward with speakers, technical presentations from regional experts, and networking opportunities. Georgia Tech’s Dimitri Mavris gave a presentation on “The Value of Systems of Systems in Today’s Engineering Environment,” while Gaudy Bezos-O’Connor discussed aerospace electrification, and Will Francis from Agile Space Industries looked at the future of space commerce.
Additionally, the high school and college students who attended were especially impressive, asking many thoughtful questions.

On 25 April, the AIAA Orange County Section and the AIAA San Gabriel Valley Section held their 21st annual AIAA Southern California Aerospace Systems and Technology (SoCal ASAT) Conference at the University of California, Irvine. The event brought together seasoned and new engineers, researchers, leaders, managers, academia and students, and provided a forum to exchange new ideas, review achievements, and chart a new course for aerospace in the local area.
