The Institute is currently seeking nominations for the following positions: Members–At-Large and AIAA Treasurer-Elect
Volunteer leadership is the foundation of AIAA. Through the nomination process, passionate and accomplished members have the opportunity to deepen their contributions to the community, broadening engagement and strengthening AIAA’s influence across governance, technical domains, and regional representation.
The AIAA Executive Nominating Committee (ENC) will compile a list of potential nominees for the following Board positions:
- Board of Trustees – Members–At-Large (3 positions): Three-year terms starting in May 2026. Per the AIAA Bylaws, At-Large members of the Board may serve no more than one (1) consecutive three-year term as an At-Large member.
- Treasurer-Elect (1 position): One-year term starting in May 2026, followed by a three-year term as Treasurer starting in May 2027. The Treasurer-Elect will be a non-voting, non-officer position on the Board of Trustees. The Treasurer-Elect position will provide for a one-year overlap with the incumbent Treasurer, thus providing time for training and familiarization with the Institute’s financial operations. The Treasurer shall cause to be kept adequate and proper accounts of the properties, funds, and records of AIAA and shall perform such other duties as prescribed by the Board. The Treasurer is a member of the Board and may serve no more than one (1) consecutive three-year term as Treasurer.
The list of potential nominees will be selected to go to the next step of competency review and potential interview held by the Executive Nominating Committee in fall 2025. The ENC will select specific candidates for these four board positions by November/December 2025.
- Board of Trustees Members–At-Large will be elected by the Council of Directors in January 2026 and announced soon thereafter.
