As acting editor-in-chief, Cat guides our coverage, keeps production of the print magazine on schedule and edits all articles. She became associate editor in 2021 after two years as our staff reporter. Cat joined us in 2019 after covering the 2018 congressional midterm elections as an intern for USA Today.
Paul covers advanced air mobility, space launches and more for our website and the quarterly magazine. Paul joined us in 2022 and is based near Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He previously covered aerospace for United Press International and the Orlando Sentinel.
Christine is in charge of the magazine’s From the Institute section, formerly called the AIAA Bulletin, a compendium of news and information about AIAA’s many initiatives and the important work of its 30,000 members in the United States and abroad. Christine became AIAA Bulletin editor in 2000.

Keith has written for C4ISR Journal and Hedge Fund Alert, where he broke news of the 2007 Bear Stearns hedge fund blowup that kicked off the global credit crisis. He is based in New York.
Jonathan is an historian of technology and former professor at Texas A&M University in College Station who has written about the failures of 20th century space commercialization. He has a doctorate in history from the University of Oxford.
Moriba is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin and chief scientist at Privateer. He helped navigate spacecraft at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab and researched space situational awareness at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, and is an AIAA fellow.
Jon previously covered space for The Independent in the U.K. His work has appeared in Air and Space Smithsonian, Slate and the Washington Post. He is based in Maryland.
Paul is a London journalist focused on technology, cybersecurity, aviation and spaceflight. A regular contributor to the BBC, New Scientist and The Economist, his current interests include electric aviation and innovation in new space.

Amanda Simpson is a consultant, a former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense for operational energy, and a former head of research and technology at Airbus Americas, where she led sustainability efforts. An AIAA fellow, she’s a licensed pilot and certified flight instructor.
A longtime contributor to Aerospace America, Debra is also a correspondent for Space News on the West Coast of the United States.
