AIAA is now the Committee Manager and US TAG for ISO TC20/SC 16 – Uncrewed Aircraft System. The committee is currently looking for additional technical experts to support its work in the following areas:
- ISO TC 20/SC 16/WG 8 will develop International Standards to provide a framework and guidance for government, public, and private stakeholders involved in the safe and effective design, procurement, deployment, and operation of Counter UAS equipment intended to be deployed in all fixed, mobile, and transportable civilian environments. Please note, C-UAS products designed specifically for military use or against state actors is excluded.
- ISO TC20/SC 16 also is exploring opportunities to create a new working group focused on Cybersecurity for UAS. This working group will be responsible for the development of International Standards addressing cybersecurity aspects specific to uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS).
