ORLANDO – AIAA announced today that RTX has elevated its engagement with the world’s largest aerospace technical institute to the Corporate Partner level.

RTX joins Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman in an elite group of Corporate Partners – the highest level of support and engagement in AIAA.
AIAA is the leading source for aerospace technical knowledge hosting AIAA SciTech Forum – the world’s largest aerospace R&D conference, ASCEND, AIAA DEFENSE Forum, and AIAA AVIATION Forum, as well as an unmatched research center with over 200,000 peer-reviewed papers and 600 textbooks. The Institute’s more than 33,000 professional members and 101 Corporate Members represent the leading technical minds in the aerospace sector.
“We’re proud to welcome RTX to the ranks of our Corporate Partners, affirming the value that AIAA provides as the most trusted source for technical knowledge to the aerospace and defense community,” said Clay Mowry, AIAA’s CEO.
Mowry continued, “RTX is a world-class provider of transformational aerospace technologies and defense solutions that connect and protect customers around the globe. Their storied history of innovation in sector and the enduring legacy of three world-class businesses – Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon – make us proud to elevate them to the Corporate Partner tier.”

With volunteer leaders on dozens of AIAA’s 71 technical committees, RTX is an integral contributor to Institute programs. For more than a decade, RTX has supported the AIAA DEFENSE Forum and has championed the next generation of aerospace engineers through its support of AIAA Design/Build/Fly for nearly two decades.
“2026 is shaping up to be an impactful year for AIAA’s key programs, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with them,” said Juan de Bedout, chief technology officer, RTX and an AIAA Fellow. “This collaboration will drive innovation, accelerate advancements in the aviation industry, and inspire the next generation of engineers by uniting the resources and expertise of the largest aerospace and defense company with the vast knowledge base and professional network of the largest aerospace professional organization.”
