An article you ran on firebombing years ago [“Putting out the fires,” June 2014] inspired a topic for a Ph.D. dissertation. That student [Saad Qureshi] is now a professor at a university in Pakistan. We created one of the very few accessible models for fire retardant ground concentration distribution dropped from airplanes through that research. Your work has a palpable impact!
