SpaceVision, hosted by Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), took place at the University of Washington in Seattle, 6–8 November, and brought together more than 350 university students from across the country. AIAA CEO Clay Mowry participated in two back-to-back panels on 7 November, highlighting both the future of space exploration and practical guidance for emerging professionals.

During the session “Beyond the ISS: Building Humanity’s Next Home in Orbit,” panelists reflected on 25 years of continuous human presence aboard the International Space Station and explored the path toward commercially owned and operated space stations. Mowry emphasized the unprecedented moment this generation is experiencing, noting that “students are living in the most exciting time for space—we’re going back to the moon and on our way to Mars.”
Later, in the session “How to Network & Pitch Yourself,” Mowry offered students actionable career advice, underscoring the importance of preparation, research, and finding personal connections when building professional relationships.

AIAA also hosted a table in the exhibit hall, connecting with current student members and introducing many nonmembers to the value of joining the AIAA community. The event provided a strong platform for strengthening relationships with student leaders, and AIAA looks forward to continuing to expand collaboration with SEDS in the years ahead.
